USEFUL INFORMATIONS

WHY IS RECYCLING A MUST?

Protecting Natural Resources :
Rapid consumption in products as personel and institutional depletes our natural resources in today’s world. Therefore, productive use and recycle has become more of an issue.

Reduction In the Amount of Waste:
If we make the best of available material, we avoid the formation and accumulation of the new waste.

Energy Saving:
Power consumption is at the highest level for forming, storing and providing the products  that we use today. A large part of the energy can be saved by recycling.

Economic Contribution:
Reducing the need for the reception of new raw materials, collecting the waste, waste disposal and limiting the budget allocated for them are the greatest and most effective contributions to national economy.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH WASTE BATTERIES ?

We should not throw away the waste batteries in order to protect the public health. Please have a look at the web site of Portable Battery Manufacturers and Importers Association to get further information. You can find out the nearest battery collect point by using the following link http://www.tap.org.tr/tr/atik_pil_noktalari.aspx  Click on the city that you live in which appears on the map of Turkey in the web site. You can take your batteries to the nearest collect point in the list.

WHAT IS THE CONTRIBUTION OF RECYCLE TO THE ENVIRONMENT?

It is highly important to protect the green for business world today. To make aluminium of used aluminium cans requires 95% of less energy comparing making it of aluminium ore. 1 ton of waste paper saves 17 trees to be cut down, it also saves 79 gallons of petrol and 7000 gallons of water. These savings would result in lower product cost and job opportunities to remain in the country. Used motorcar tire, paper and carton, glass, plastic, battery, accumulator, metals, textile, ceramic e.g. are all recyclable materials. Recycle saves energy and raw material as well as it is environmental friendly. Waste is less and it is also safer and less toxicant. So it is a great contribution to protect the environment.

WHAT DOES YOUR FACILITY DO WITH THE SCRAP?

Scrap is put in the warehouses and then taken to the sea ports and factories by trucks, it is melted in the big boilers and imported and exported. Recycled materials  is sold in the end. Intermediaries usually collects these from houses and companies. Our company carries on buying and selling scrap by the many facilities in the province of our contry and it also buys and sells scrap copper, scrap iron, scrap aluminium, scrap material, scrap excelsior and the materials like these. Please contact us if you have any kind of scrap to be collected.

HOW DO SCRAP ALUMINIUM, PLASTIC AND WASTE PAPER RECYCLE IN FACTORIES?

Aluminium: Waste aluminium is cut into small pieces. Then it is melted in the big boilers  so cast aluminium is derieved in this way. Waste aluminium turns into pure aluminium and is used in production. We can save 1300 kg of raw material if we recycle  1 ton of metallic waste. For instance, it is 2 millions ton a year in total in Turkey.

Paper:
First, paper is teased apart in the water to make paper sludge. Non – fiber foreign materials are cleaned if necessary. Caustic soda and carbonate of soda are used as ink separator material. Then derieved paper fibres are used in production of recycled paper. As a result of recycling 1 ton of waste paper, 16 matured pine trees and 85 square meters of forest will not be destroyed. For instance 80 millions of pine tree and 40.000 hectares of woodland would be saved in Turkey.

Plastic: Plastic waste is assorted firstly and then recycled.  Assorted recyclable plastic waste is crashed into small pieces in the machines. Businesses can use these pieces in production directly  by mixing the certain amount of them with the original material  or they boil it again and put additives in it to make second class raw material. As a result of recycling 1 ton of plastic packaging waste, we save 14000 kwh of energy. For instance, the amount of the energy that can be saved is 4 million megawatt.
